What does WOODWERD do?
WOODWERD is a residential design studio in Austin, Texas, led by designer Drew Tosh. We design kitchens and baths for remodels and new construction, and produce the drawings, renderings, and material selections a builder needs to price and build the work.
Do I need an architect or a designer for a kitchen remodel?
For most kitchen and bath remodels in a single-family home, a residential designer is the right fit: you need a good layout, clear drawings, and finish selections, not a full architectural commission. If your project involves structural changes or other work that requires a licensed professional's seal, we will tell you early and coordinate with an engineer or architect.
How much does kitchen design cost?
Kitchen design is a fixed-fee package, quoted after a short intro call once we understand the size and scope of the room. The first conversation is free and virtual.
What do I get at the end?
A complete drawing set with dimensions, elevations, and electrical, lighting, and plumbing locations; 3D renderings of the finished room; and a style guide with specified finishes and fixtures — everything your contractor needs to quote and build.
Do you build or manage construction?
No. WOODWERD is design only. You hire your own contractor, or we can work alongside the one you have chosen.
Where do you work?
Austin, Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock, Lakeway, Bee Cave, and Georgetown, Texas. The first consultation is virtual, so it is easy to start from anywhere nearby.
How does the process work?
Three phases. Think: we learn how you live and what the space needs to do. Design: we turn that into drawings and renderings you can approve. Style: we select and specify finishes so the result reads the way it was designed to.
